A new road surface for the high street

As part of the design of Norwood Road we want to be able to re-surface the highway. However, plans to do this have been slightly put on hold because we are aware that Thames Water want to dig up the road to replace old pipes, and we don't want this disruptive work to have to happen twice.

Thames Water want to do this work at the start of 2019. These will be major works, involving closing the high-street. However, we understand that they will be doing this at night-time to minimise disruption.

The Council plans to commission their contractors to re-surface the road as soon as Thames Water have finished, minimising distribution to residents, and those who use the road late at night/ early in the morning.
