Keeping our streets clean

As our lovely new pavements have been going in, we also noticed that in places they were quickly becoming stained. A walk around, combined with speaking to residents revealed that rubbish was being left out by business, whilst other litter had been flytipped.

Lambeth councillors and staff will be tackling the problem head on, as we want our new pavements to remain in pristine condition for as long as possible. The areas where stains have occurred will be jet washed, and we will be speaking to local businesses to ensure they have the right arrangements in place for rubbish collection.
