Cyclists consulted over pavement changes

Thank you to everyone who turned up to the cycling consultation on Bon Velo cycling shop on Norwood Road on 21st June. Despite this being the hottest day of the year so far we had a great turn out, and some lively discussion about the pros and cons of widening of the pavement outside Elmcourt pharmacy, as well as cycling on Norwood Road more generally.

There were lots of helpful and inventive suggestions given including changing parking so it is between the trees, and creating a separate cycle lane either on the pavement or the road.

All ideas will be taken away and discussed by the StreetWorks group who will look feasibility and cost and hopefully come up with something that people are happy with.
