At the end of 2017 we held a community meeting with an update from Transport for London (TfL) on the work they are doing to change the one-way system in Tulse Hill, to a two-way one. As part of the programme of improvement works, local residents told us that they wanted some of the car parking spaces to be removed from Norwood Road. Also, people mentioned that they didn’t want to lose car parking spaces altogether. So the scheme was designed to create extra spaces in Waylett Place – which is behind the shops next to B&Q. You may know that the plans for Norwood Road included putting in a pedestrian crossing near the Access Self Storage centre and Harpenden Road. We also planned to make Harpenden Road one way, with a junction for cyclists. You can see the plans here. 2018 looks to be an exciting year for StreetWorks. We look set to finish the works on Norwood Road in the next couple of months.
