Moving car parking spaces from our high street
As part of the programme of improvement works, local residents told us that they wanted some of the car parking spaces to be removed from Norwood Road. What is happening with the pedestrian crossing in Harpenden Road?
You may know that the plans for Norwood Road included putting in a pedestrian crossing near the Access Self Storage centre and Harpenden Road. We also planned to make Harpenden Road one way, with a junction for cyclists. You can see the plans here. StreetWorks: Our Plans for 2018
2018 looks to be an exciting year for StreetWorks. We look set to finish the works on Norwood Road in the next couple of months. There have been some delays to this – but now things are back on track. The first couple of months will be focused on putting in place benches, bins and trees along Norwood Road.
